General information on the legal basis for data processing on this website
If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR if special categories of data under Art. 9(1) GDPR are processed. In the case of express consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is also based on Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR if it is required to fulfil a legal obligation. Data processing may also be carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legal bases relevant in each individual case are set out in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.
Recipients of personal data
In the course of our business activities, we work with various external parties. In some cases, this also requires the transfer of personal data to these external parties. We only disclose personal data to external parties if this is necessary in the course of fulfilling a contract, if we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. disclosure of data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest in the disclosure under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or if another legal basis permits the disclosure of data. When using processors, we only disclose our customers’ personal data on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint processing, a joint processing agreement is concluded.
Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

IF DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH ANY PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.
The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (North Rhine-Westphalia State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, www.ldi.nrw.de.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible.
Access, rectification and erasure
Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. You can contact us at any time about this and any other questions on the subject of personal data.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us about this at any time. The right to restriction of processing applies in the following cases:
– If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
– If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
– If we no longer need your personal data but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
– If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, your interests and ours must be weighed against each other. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may – apart from its storage – only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.
SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address bar changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Objection to promotional emails
We hereby object to the use of contact data published in fulfilment of the legal notice requirement for sending advertising and information material that has not been expressly requested. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising information being sent, for example by spam emails.
4. Data collection on this website
Server log files
The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
– browser type and browser version
– operating system used
– referrer URL
– host name of the accessing computer
– time of the server request
– IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.
This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.
Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). We delete enquiries that do not lead to a project after twelve months at the latest. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Sending via Web3Forms
Sending from the form is handled by Web3Forms (Web3Creative, India). Web3Forms forwards your details to us by email, checks them for spam and stores them for this purpose for up to three years; servers from Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare and Hetzner in the EU and the USA, among others, are used for this. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Web3Forms pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The transfer to India and the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, which form part of this agreement. If you do not want to use the form, simply email us directly.
Enquiries by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request.
The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
Contact via WhatsApp
You can write to us directly using the “WhatsApp” button. The link opens WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland) with a prepared sentence; no connection to WhatsApp is established beforehand. When you write to us, WhatsApp processes your phone number, your profile name and the messages in accordance with its own privacy policy; data may be transferred to the USA in the process (Meta is certified under the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework”).
We only use the messages to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. If you do not want to use WhatsApp, you can reach us by email or phone.
Appointment booking via Cal.com
The “Book a 20-minute call” button takes you to our appointment booking at Cal.com (Cal.com, Inc., 2261 Market Street #4382, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA). There you enter your name, email address and, optionally, a message, and choose a time slot. Cal.com processes this data on our behalf to carry out the booking, checks the time slot against our calendar and sends a confirmation and a reminder. The data is processed in the USA; we have concluded a data processing agreement with Cal.com that includes the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract). The booking page only loads when you click the button.
Local storage in the browser
If you use the project calculator or enquire about a package, the website stores your selection locally in your browser (local storage) so that it is already filled in on the contact form. This data does not leave your browser and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings. This is technically necessary for the function you have requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
No analytics tools, no cookies
We do not use any analytics or marketing tools on this website, i.e. no Google Analytics, no Tag Manager and no Facebook pixel. No cookies are set, which is why there is no cookie banner either.
5. Plugins and tools
Vimeo without tracking (Do Not Track), with two-click solution
This website uses plugins from the video portal Vimeo. The provider is Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.
The videos are only loaded when you click “Play” (two-click solution). Until then, only a preview image is loaded from our server and no connection to Vimeo is established. A connection to Vimeo’s servers is only established when you click. In the process, the Vimeo server is informed which of our pages you have visited. Vimeo also obtains your IP address. We have configured Vimeo so that Vimeo will not track your user activities and will not set any cookies.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG, which you give by clicking “Play”. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by not starting any further videos.
The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission and, according to Vimeo, on “legitimate business interests”. Details can be found here: https://vimeo.com/privacy. Further information on the handling of user data can be found in Vimeo’s privacy policy at: https://vimeo.com/privacy.
The company is certified under the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework” (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards for data processing in the USA. Every company certified under the DPF undertakes to comply with these data protection standards. Further information on this can be obtained from the provider at the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5711.
Google Fonts (local hosting)
For the uniform display of fonts, this site uses so-called Google Fonts (Archivo and Instrument Sans), which are provided by Google. The Google Fonts are installed locally. No connection to Google’s servers is established in the process.
Further information on Google Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
